Placemaking Workshops
I have created unique workshops which introduce participants to the world of sculpture, space, place and making using simple materials like cardboard, textiles, and recycled materials. The objective of these workshops is to allow children and adults to explore and interact with art in a hands-on way, encouraging them to observe, create, and reimagine their surroundings while giving them agency in making a place of their own.
I firmly believe that art education plays a crucial role in nurturing our imagination and helping people develop a deeper appreciation for the visual arts. My workshops focus on instilling a sense of wonder and curiosity in participants as they learn to examine how structures fit together, explore spatial relationships, and perceive how art interacts with its environment.
These can be curated for schools, community centres, camps, adult groups or galleries. I will help you plan, collect materials, curate and facilitate these workshops.
