Cherrywood Residency
Over 5 weeks in Autumn 2023 Mc Keagney worked in Cherrywood Educate Together National School. Creating and carrying out unique workshops which introduced children to the world of sculpture, space, place and making using simple materials like cardboard, textiles, and recycled materials. The objective of these workshops was to allow children to explore and interact with art in a hands-on way, encouraging them to observe, create, and reimagine their surroundings while giving them agency in making a place of their own.
This provided the first stage in the Percent for Arts project with Cherrywood Educate Together National School.
